This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Contemporary R&B/Neo-Soul/Gospel Singer based in the United States. This is an opportunity for an experienced session vocalist to deliver high-quality remote recording performances across Contemporary R&B, Neo-Soul, and Gospel. You’ll work directly with clients during live recording sessions, responding to creative direction and adapting your performance in real time. The role offers the flexibility of remote session work while connecting you with a professional network of musicians, producers, and audio professionals. You’ll bring versatility across classic and contemporary vocal styles, from soulful and intimate performances to powerful Gospel interpretations. Strong musicianship, sight-reading, improvisation, and live collaboration are central to success in this role. You’ll also be responsible for maintaining a professional home studio capable of producing clean, broadcast-quality recordings. The opportunity may begin with auditions and candidate evaluation, with hiring taking place as session demand develops. Accountabilities - Deliver professional vocal performances for remote recording sessions across Contemporary R&B, Neo-Soul, Gospel, and related styles. - Participate in live recording sessions where clients can provide feedback and request adjustments in real time. - Adapt vocal arrangements, tone, phrasing, dynamics, and interpretation based on client direction. - Apply strong sight-reading and improvisational skills to different musical arrangements and session requirements. - Work comfortably across a broad range of vocal influences and contemporary interpretations while maintaining an authentic and versatile performance style. - Operate a professional digital audio workstation and manage recording sessions effectively from a home studio. - Maintain high-quality recording standards, including appropriate microphone technique, signal quality, acoustics, and technical setup. - Communicate professionally and reliably with clients and other creative professionals during remote sessions. - Maintain reliable availability during agreed weekday evening and weekend session windows. Requirements - Proven professional experience as a session vocalist, with a strong track record of studio recording in Contemporary R&B, Neo-Soul, Gospel, or closely related genres. - Versatility across a wide range of vocal styles, including contemporary R&B, classic soul, Neo-Soul, and Gospel. - Ability to sight-read music and confidently improvise during recording sessions.

- Strong ability to receive creative feedback and make vocal adjustments immediately during live sessions. - Fluency in English, with native-level or highly proficient English diction and pronunciation when singing. - Proficiency with a professional DAW such as Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Cubase, or an equivalent platform. - A professional home recording studio equipped with high-quality microphones, preamps, audio interfaces, and suitable acoustic treatment. - Reliable internet connectivity with a minimum actual upload speed of 30 Mbps, supported by a wired Ethernet connection. - Strong communication, responsiveness, musicality, professionalism, and the ability to perform effectively in a client-facing remote environment. - Availability for remote sessions during weekday evenings, generally 5:00 p. m. –11:00 p. m. in your U. S. time zone, and/or weekends between 8:00 a. m. –11:00 p. m.
